Positive: The area was quiet, very little noise from traffic and none from neighbours. Close to many public transport options. Easy key collection. The flat was clean, and the main bed in the bedroom was ok. The folding bed in the living room worked fine, and had sheets. The shower worked well by british standards, and we had hot water. There is a washing machine, but as the flat does not have a drying rack, or anything else to hang clothes to dry from, the machine seems pointless. There is an iron too, but again no ironing board. The kitchen has new appliances, and I'd imagine they'll stay almost unused for a long time, as you can't actually cook in there.

Negative: The flat is so bare and inconvenient that it seems almost deliberate. There are no chairs to place anything on, or hooks or racks for hanging. The bedroom wardrobe is falling apart, and it only has one shelf and three flimsy coathangers. The bathroom is moldy, and the floor is somehow always wet, so probably there's a leak somewhere. As there is no proper bathmat, but a plastic one, the floor can't be dried. There are no normal kitchen utensils provided. There are basic cutlery (again the flimsiest I've ever come across), but nothing else, no bottle opener, can opener, and crucially not even a knife to cut cheese! The cutlery is so flimsy that the butterknife bends when spreading marmelade. The kitchen cupboards were full of dirty sheets and damp towels. The livingroom had two sofabeds and a folding bed. But no sheets were provided for the sofabeds, and the other sofabed mechanism did not work and it had to be propped with cushions. I reported both the sheet situation and the broken mechanism on our first night, but neither were corrected in the 4 nights we stayed despite a promise to do so. So our teenagers had to sleep on the sofas on a throw blanket; a bit too "slumming it" even for our budget trip. What really annoyed us was having a damp jacket to put on, after having used a damp towel, as there was nowhere in the flat to hang jackets after a rainy day, or for all towels to dry. Really poor planning, there is nothing luxurious with providing a hanger or a rack. The living room had one coffetable, and as that's the only table in the flat, eating anything other than tea and toast whilst sitting on your bed was pretty much out of the question. All of the "renovations" that look still nice in the pictures are just decals that are peeling off already, everything has an air of supercheap quick fix to it, and all items feel like "TEMU" choices.
