Pretty as a picturePastel shades and floral patterns – Remington Street, a four storeyed terraced house, is quite the blushing beauty. Turn left from the hallway into the sitting room, where the fireplace still has its original tiling, and the furniture ranges from the modern back to the 1920s. There are sash windows, and printed pink peonies cluster around the golden mirror. The kitchen, down on the lower ground floor, is smart and bright, with dining space for six. Up on the first floor, there’s a sweet single to the rear of the home, then, ahead, the master suite. It will come as no surprise to hear that your host likes to spend her Sundays at Columbia Road Flower Market – this room is festooned with nosegays in sapphire-blue.
