Middle House is a superb, century's old house looking over the green in the lovely village of Thorpe with its 'Old Dog' pub and fantastic Peak District countryside all around.
The view is absolutely breathtaking as you drop down from the village into the valley. Craggy Dove Dale with its famous stepping stones, Lovers Leap and Jacob's Ladder is off to the right. Manifold Valley with its Paradise Walk and amazing vanishing river is just as close. Follow the River Dove down towards the historic market town of Ashbourne with its lovely country town shops, cafes and restaurants.
Majestic Chatsworth House, historic Haddon Hall, beautiful Monsal Dale and the Derwent Valley Dams are bound to be on your list. Bakewell with its famous puddings, Eyam with its fascinating Plague story and Matlock Bath with its riverside prom and cable cars are not to be missed. Even Alton Towers is just 20 minutes drive away. When you get back try the nearby Izaak Walton Hotel for a great evening meal.

A lovely traditional tiled hallway. An attractive upstairs lounge with comfortable sofas, T.V DVD, Freeview and WiFi. A spacious farmhouse dining kitchen, with oak table and chairs, cooker, microwave, two fridges, small freezer, automatic washer and tumble-dryer. A beautiful upstairs master bedroom looking over the garden with double bed and en-suite shower room with W.C. A single upstairs bedroom. A family bathroom with bath, separate shower and W.C. A downstairs triple bedroom with double and single beds. A downstairs bunk bedroom. A downstairs cloakroom with W.C.
Linen and towels are provided. Storage heating, convector heating and power are included. A cot and high chair can be requested. There is a lovely garden with bench and deck chairs adjoining the village green. Ample parking is available right outside the house. Pets are welcome. Smoking in the house is not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult.
Weekly bookings are normally Saturday to Saturday but short breaks are possible outside peak periods.
