There are only three houses in the tiny, picturesque hamlet of Seldom Seen. Tucked away on the banks of Comb Beck adjoining the village of Thornthwaite. Oak Lea lies at the top of the hill where the road ends and the ascent of Whinlatter begins. This is a truly beautiful location in a woodland setting with Comb Beck running at the side of the property in the lower part of the garden (which is accessed via a locked gate, key available) and with stunning views towards Skiddaw.
Oak Lea is a semi-detached cottage with views from all windows, with walking and mountain biking opportunities available from the doorstep. Bassenthwaite Lake is just a short stroll from Oak Lea and on the way there it is possible to see the nesting place for the Osprey.
