The Burrow is a magical oasis, with its beautiful natural swimming pond, wood fired sauna, fabulous outdoor as well as indoor kitchen, outdoor shower, ooni pro wood fired pizza oven, fully functioning 1950s 4 oven oil fired aga in the large well equipped beautiful family kitchen with large beautiful rustic tables indoors and out .... Garden games including table tennis, badminton, croquet and corn hole are provided.2 great village pubs are within easy easy walking distance.
The space
The burrow is a beautiful 16th century detached village home, with a private secure garden. Helen and Kevin the hosts are landscape garden designers, so the outdoor area is a beautiful place to relax. There are four spacious double bedrooms in the main house. Within the private garden there are two “sheds” which are extremely comfortable and well designed self-contained bedrooms with adjoining wet rooms. Freddy's shed sleeps 2, Pedro’s shed sleeps up to 4 people. We have owned the house for 23 years and over that time many of our friends and family have enjoyed sharing our space with us for celebrations and parties aswell as relaxed sociable weekends. Our children’s friends refer to it as “the burrow” because it reminds them of the Weasley burrow in Harry Potter… It’s certainly got that magical vibe!
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house and garden, and also have use of the natural swimming pond, the woodfired sauna, and all the garden games!

The Burrow is the ideal place for a celebratory gathering of friends or family. We are happy to assist with the arrangements for your group celebration. We have years of experience of creating our own unique parties and events, but we would always prefer it if guests are open about their celebratory intentions, especially if this involves extending the hospitality of the burrow to additional guests. Please discuss your plans with us before your stay... all sorts of wonderful happenings are possible, but we do need to know!
