Positive: My eyes lit up with joy upon entering. Cosy cottage with good facilities, delightful decor, warm, easy to park, peaceful place, lovely outlook. Great garden space, although it was raining most of the time, so we did not use it. However, the storm did not interfere with our peace due to the build quality. It has very neat tiling, grouting, fittings, weatherproof, soundproofing..a good builder! Location is great for working at Stansted, visiting Cambridge, Saffron Walden etc. Local area is picturesque countryside, small villages. Plenty of warm water & good flow rate for a refreshing shower. Waitrose deliver to the door, which is super convenient. It maybe a 1 bedroom cottage, but, it was spacious. Nice, fluffy bath towels, bathrobes and slippers, and body wash & lotion provided were appreciated. Sky tv with plenty of options, although did not work so well during the storm gusts on one day. Helpful guest info book. Really enjoyed our stay, would recommend to others. It would be wonderful to stay in the warmer/drier months too, to make use of the garden. Even during a wet week, it was so cosy indoors. It is the great standard of accommodation you wish you could find everywhere. Thank you.

Negative: The lock box dial was a bit stiff, so, it took a few attempts to get the code accepted. There was a few minor issues with regards to housekeeping. The extractor fan above the cooker needs attention. I think a previous guest must have had fry ups everyday? The toaster had crumbs left in it, some crumbs had fallen down the back of the microwave, I only noticed since the toaster was sat atop and a cheeky spider tried to spin a new web behind there, which I went to remove. The bath seemed a bit slow to drain, maybe needs checking. Please note, apart from those , it was very clean, the bed, bathroom, blankets, sofa etc, and I was very happy that it was so comfortable, especially after a long trip. The Virtuo Nespresso machine was okay, but, it is difficult to find the non standard capsules, as I think they are only available from Nespresso shops? I bought a french press, as I ran out of the 5 provided capsules in 3 days. If I had known, I would have ordered the virtuo capsules in advance. Not a big deal, but, good to advise guests how to get the capsules. *Note* Not the properties fault. Advisory only. The water board are currently digging up many different patches along the lane, for 12 weeks, which is a bit inconvenient, but, they are allowimg access to homes. Sometimes the water board guys need to move their equipment, to allow cars to pass, so allow extra time during the day for this.

Summary: Delightful, cosy, cottage.
