Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: It’s a beautiful cottage just like the photos. It has lots of character and open space for relaxing. The kitchen is modern and the spa facilities were incredible. The staff were lovely and accommodating to any requests.

Negative: The bed pillows are very thin. I had to use the show pillows for extra support. The location is great but just be aware pending which side you come in it’s a single country road, so that wasn’t so fun driving in the rain! The spa facilities are incredible but they aren’t exclusive like described. Someone else can book the gym when you are swimming, and to me it’s advertised like you have access for the whole hour to all the facilities which would make it better. To get around this I booked out the swimming gym at the same time. The music system didn’t work as described at the cottage, you can just Bluetooth your phone up. The bathroom does let it down a bit as the tiles aren’t very fitting with the rest of the property, but as a whole the place is amazing and I would stay here again. It’s close to Windermere and is definitely a luxury cottage.
