The Hermitage is an impressive country house situated in an elevated rural position on top of St Catherine's Down on the South of the Isle of Wight. Ideal for family celebrations or large groups.
Ground Floor
Entrance Hall: An impressive and spacious entrance with a staircase with carved newel posts, a Chesterfield sofa and armchair and a fire surround housing a log burner.
Drawing Room: An elegant panelled room with an open fire place with marble surround. Original wooden floor boards, two sets of French door providing beautiful views across the garden and access to the furnished patio.
Games Room: An impressive sized room with a table tennis and pool table, 2 Chesterfield sofas and a 60” Flatscreen 3D Smart TV with Freesat, Netflix and Bluetooth sound system. Also a selection of board games and garden games available.
Gym: Tread mill, exercise bike and weights are available to use. 40” HD Flatscreen TV with Freesat and Bluetooth sound bar to play own playlists. Also an ensuite shower room.
Kitchen: Country style kitchen with breakfast bar and large kitchen table and chairs. There is a double electric oven with grill and gas hob as well as an upright oven with grill. There is also microwave, larder size fridge and freezer and dishwasher.
Utility Room: A washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, freezer and dishwasher are in the utility room.
First Floor
Reading area: Providing an attractive quiet area overlooking the garden. There is a bookcase supplied with books and a Chesterfield sofa and armchair.
The southern landing leads to 4 master bedrooms with ensuites and the northern landing leads to a further 6 bedrooms.
Outside: To the front of the house is a large stone paved terrace providing an attractive seating area overlooking the grounds. Within the gardens there is also a summerhouse and children’s playhouse tower with swings, slide and climbing wall.
There is ample private parking to the front and rear of the house
