The Old Stables is a brand-new holiday chalet on a farm at the end of a forest track. The farm nestles in a valley in the Radnor Forest.
The surrounding land resembles part Swiss mountain woodland and part Yorkshire Dales, with many forest paths. The sound of sheep, a gurgling stream, and a noisy dawn chorus will caress your ears. The skies are dark at night – perfect for astrophotography and star gazing. The air is crisp, and our spring-fed water is deliciously sweet and chemical-free.
The modern wheelchair-friendly south-facing property is warm and cosy, with two bedrooms suitable for four guests, a kitchen, diner/lounge.
The south-facing bedroom and lounge doors open onto the decking, which is bathed in sunlight from morning to night (when it's not raining, overcast or at night).

There are woodpeckers, hawks, a resident family of wagtails, chattering swifts or swallows (I can’t tell which as they fly too fast) and our very own resident Robin. If you are lucky, you will see deer walking past the holiday chalet as they make their way to the forest track at dusk.
Deer, badgers, a family of boars, and our guardian Hare (Lord Frith) are seen from time to time in the forest track leading to the Old Stables.
The decking at the chalet faces open skies - perfect for a telescope or nighttime photography. Bird watchers can see buzzards flying above and in the distance, depending on the day and season.
