Positive: It was a good location from the scenic areas we wanted to visit. It was good to be able to access the property with the key box. The kitchen was well supplied with cooking equipment.

Negative: The house was cold. It was easy to warm the bedroom up both the door closed as it was a small room and the one storage heater sufficed. But the main living area didn’t get warm, it looked like a second storage heater had been removed from the wall (or something had and not been made good). To get warm we made use of the blankets but it was cold to move around. We didn’t find the bed very comfortable but read reviews in the guest book that others had so that is personal choice. The property was advertised as having private parking but there wasn’t any, we had to leave the car in a lay by out of site of the property. The property is set back from the road so better instructions are required to find it. The area has poor signal so trying to google map it when nearby was difficult.

Summary: A simple cottage that would suit if you are just needing a base, and in better weather.
