Beautifully restored period terraced cottage on the main street of the village, two to five minutes walk from The Durham Ox. Perfect base for exploring, with great walks and cycle routes. This fully refurbished traditional cottage combines exposed beams, an original open fire and a modern kitchen with under floor heating, opening out on to the rear deck and garden.

The Durham Ox is a traditional 300-year old pub, family owned for the last 25 years. We are situated in the historic village of Crayke, North Yorkshire, with breath-taking views over the vale of York and a charming view up the hill to the medieval Church. Crayke is 25 minutes from York City Centre and in the heart of Herriot Country. The bar area has an original flag stoned floor and oak panels on the walls, as well as the bar fitted by the local woodcarver that bears his name and still takes pride of place. With several roaring fires alight in winter and an outside balcony & courtyard for summer dining the pub oozes atmosphere.
5 of the bedrooms are converted farm buildings. Blue & Green offer a double room with en suite shower room, seating area, tea & coffee making facilities and L'Occitane toiletries. In addition Rose our Large Cottage Suite is spread over two floors with two bedrooms, one super king double and one twin, en suite bathroom & separate shower, relaxed sitting room and butler's pantry. Lavender & Field bedrooms both with super king size beds and bathrooms that have a bath and separate shower. The Studio Suite, located above the pub, offers spacious luxury accommodation with 600sq feet of space, a super king bed, en suite bathroom, sofas, flat screen television, kitchen and honesty bar.
