The town offers its visitors an excellent selection of welcoming pubs, restaurants, a museum and entertainment, as well as the scenic Millennium Trails which will take you on a tour of the historic streets, where you will find delightful cottages, small shops and beautiful sandstone buildings, it is a visual feast from start to finish. The city of Carlisle is nearby and well worth a visit, home to a remarkable castle, cathedral, museum and fantastic golf course.
