2 Bedroom Cottage in Littleham, Bideford
Our lovely 2 bedroom 1850's cottage was fully refurbished in 2021. Whilst retaining lots of lovely old features, it includes ultra fast WiFi in all rooms, there’s even a booster in the courtyard garden! For those of you who need to do a bit of work whilst away, there is a HDMI connected 20” screen in one of the bedrooms for use as a work station.
The cottage is full of modern appliances including separate washing machine and tumble dryer, smart SAMSUNG TV, electric RANGEMASTER cooker, Microwave and Dishwasher.
Downstairs there are two living spaces: a kicthen/diner and a separate lounge as well as a shower room. Upstairs there are two bedrooms both with King Size beds and one with an ensuite.
Relax in the small private courtyard garden which catches the morning and lunchtime sun. Here there is a bike rack and shower-proof cover for two bikes - should you wish to use the cottage as a base for cycling the Tarka Trail which is about 300 meters from the cottage.
The cottage is located in the town centre conservation area on Silver Street, 5 minutes walk from Bideford Town Quay and the Long Bridge and the town centre with its museum and art gallery, a multitude of local shops, cafes & restaurants.
It is 50m from the historic pannier market and Belluno, probably the best Italian restaurant in North Devon and approx. 300m from the South West Coast Path & Tarka Trail.
Bideford is a traditional North Devon market town situated 7 miles from RHS Rosemoor, 3 miles from the picturesque fishing village of Appledore, 4 miles from the long surfers beach at Westward Ho! and 3 miles from the beautiful sandy dog walking beach at Instow. Also at Instow, there is a sailing club which welcomes visiting sailors. Walking & Cycling on the Tarka Trail and South West Coast path are on your doorstep as well as plenty of surfing opportunities at Westward Ho! If you play golf, then you must make a visit to the Royal North Devon Golf Club at Northam Burrows (4 miles away).
The cottage is fully equiped, has plenty of storage space and should have everything you need for a great break.
Free on street parking is available Mon- Sat 6pm to 8am and Sundays or you can buy tourist parking permits for the local car parks. There are two car parks within 100m of the cottage. The bus services from Bideford Quay are excellent and we recommend them for travelling to local towns and villages especially if you would like to explore the many local culinary delights, appreciate a glass of wine with your meal and don’t want to drive.
