Summary: We've stayed here a couple of times before and were looking forward to another trip. The hotel hasn't changed much in recent years and unfortunately it's starting to feel like it needs a bit of a freshen up. Our room had a stale smell when we arrived (it needed to be aired) and the carpets were a bit grubby throughout the upstairs. Staff were helpful enough but not particularly friendly, and overall the atmosphere was lacking. Dinner was good but there is limited choice if you're staying more than a couple of nights. The breakfast menu options were good. The onsite EV charger is a real bonus but note that it is now pay-to-charge. Overall a decent place to stay but lacking the charm and friendliness it once had.
