Midland Barn is found in the village of Renwick, adjacent to the owner’s home, in the northern Eden Valley, and offers the ideal base from which to explore this unspoilt area whilst being additionally convenient to spend time in the northern Lake District and North Pennines.
A light and airy barn conversion, Midland Barn was upgraded in Spring 2018 and enjoys a delightfully presented, good sized living/dining room enhanced by a wood burner for those chillier evenings. The room opens out onto the patio where the sun can be caught in the late afternoon for a relaxing spot to enjoy the quiet ambiance of this pretty village. The modern, well equipped kitchen was installed in Spring 2018 and enjoys a breakfast area and an excellent range of fixtures and fittings. The furnishings throughout are comfortable and of a very good standard, and the owners have created a warm and welcoming home from home. Three comfortable and beautifully decorated bedrooms on the first floor offer a choice of sleeping arrangements.
This area is on the Coast to Coast cycle route and offers something for cyclists of all abilities. There is convenient cycle storage available in the property for guests own bicycles. Walkers will find paths from the door and immediate access to the picturesque landscape of this much loved area. Farmland and unspoilt countryside is interrupted only by the traditional villages dotted throughout. Guests exploring the area will find welcoming inns, craft bakeries and tea rooms offering a spot to break the day and take five to relax and enjoy a well-earned spot of refreshment. A short drive heading west takes guests into the Lake District National Park where Lake Ullswater and the popular market town of Keswick offer something for everyone. Alternatively, head east up to Alston, one of the highest market towns in England, which offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscape, Lakeland Fells and beyond. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
