Welcome to my home! Just a quick 15 minute walk/5min bus away from Vauxhall and Stockwell tube station my 2 bedroom flat with a sofa bed is a haven for London travellers. You'll be just a stone's throw away from Westminster and Big Ben and in 10mins you can visit the Tate Britain! With a private roof garden, a modern kitchen with all of the necessary facilities and a bathroom with bath, it is the perfect place to kick your feet up and relax after a long day of sightseeing and shopping. The apartment has a really spacious, bright and modern living room. There are 2 comfy sofas for guests to use where you can put your feet up in the evenings, kick back and relax! If cooking a gourmet meal at home is more your thing, then rest assured the kitchen will have everything you need in it such as all the basic condiments, and as an added extra we make sure that there is also always plenty of tea, coffee and sugar so that you can make yourself a traditional British cuppa in the morning! There are also all the mod-cons such as toaster, kettle and dishwasher that you might expect. We really want to ensure that you have a comfortable stay here in London! The kitchen area is also home to the dining area, which is the perfect spot to enjoy some local delicacies. Top tip, try out Vauxhall Street Food Garden - you will be sure to take home some edible goodies from here! There are two bedrooms in the house. The master bedroom has a double bed, bedroom number two has a double and the living room also sports a comfy single sofa bed. All the bedrooms are spacious with lovely homely touches. There is also plenty of storage space for guests to store all their belongings. Finally, the property also benefits from 1 bathroom. The bathroom is bright and contemporary in style and even has a bath (which really is a treat in central London)! The bathroom will always come stocked with plenty of white fluffy towels and all the essential toiletries such as shampoo, shower gel and hand soap that you need to ensure that you have a comfortable stay in London. The apartment comes with a combi washer/dryer, iron and ironing board, so that you can look fresh for exploring the city or for any business meetings! A baby cot and high chair can be provided upon request. Access The apartment is your own. Cleaned professionally with fresh luxury linens, it's prepared for each new visitor. Neighborhood The apartment is located in South London in the area of Vauxhall. This location is perhaps little known by visitors to London but is a favourite for locals. And for a good reason, the location is hard to beat! Here, you will be near the Thames and in walking distance to Waterloo - it is certainly in the busy, urban heart of the city. That being said however, if you are looking for some zen, green space then take a trip to Vauxhall Park which is beloved by locals for it’s lavender garden, children’s playground and adorable model village. If you are really green fingered, then make sure you check out the nearby Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens as they host cool events throughout the year, including the Winter Wonderland in December. If you are up for exploring other areas nearby then you will love Clapham. This area is a firm favourite with young professionals and is famous for having the busiest tube station in London! Many people relocate here for the chance of barbecues in the huge green space of Clapham Common and for the buzzing night life and pub scene. There are also cute coffee shops and independent restaurants to try out here. If you fancy exploring elsewhere, then the pretty Larkhall Park is only a short walk away if you’re needing a breath of fresh air. The nearby area of Stockwell is also known for having the largest Portuguese community outside of Portugal, with an estimated 27,000 Portuguese people living in what has become affectionately known as ‘Little Portugal’, so if you’re a fan of excellent seafood and creamy custard tarts you’ll find your fill of them here. There’s also a strong Caribbean community similar to that found in Brixton. Transit You are a quick 15 minute walk (or 10 minute bus ride) away from Vauxhall tube station and a 12 minute walk from Stockwell tube station, connecting you to both the Victoria and Northern lines - great for travelling into central London and the famous Oxford Street shopping! There are also plenty of buses in the area, which are a great way of travelling if you like to have a peek at your surroundings as you travel. If you don't fancy tackling the public transport after a late night, then I would recommend getting an Uber from the west end as it costs only £8 to £10 which is worth doing which takes you door to door. It is better than taking the tube! A great local tip is to download the Citymapper app. This free app will plan your journey for you efficiently and quickly. It gives you a variety of different transport options such as bike, rail, tube and Uber taxi. It will also take you step by step through your journey as you travel and notify you when you are nearing your destination.
