Summary: Booked via Stays York who proved very efficient and easily contactable. Apartment is in a great location being only a 2 minute walk from York Station (cross the road via the crossing just to the right and walk through the gate in front of you). There is no onsite parking but NCP's are available locally. Very neat and tidy with comfortable seating and bed, and an excellent shower. The apartment is just across the corridor from the lifts but we didn't hear any noise from these at all. We read a report elsewhere about the washing machine being faulty, however any fault has now been fixed and the machine (c/w drier) did a good job. Their are instruction manuals for just about everything which is good. The lighting was a bit of a mystery but we think we eventually discovered that the first switch as you enter the property is a master switch, although it doesn't control the bathroom. We stayed during a very hot week but thankfully there were 2 fans available. Having the windows wide open invited outside noise in which meant we were able to listen to the animated conversation of taxi drivers who chose the road behind for their midnight break. Nothing too bothersome and the fan drowned out most of the noise. As the weather has probably returned to standard inclemency by now the issue will have gone away.
