It is ideally suited for families or friends. The detached cottage has been renovated throughout and offers a charming, cosy cottage feel. It’s a great place to relax, unwind and enjoy some quality time with loved ones.
Stepping into the cottage you will find a large, well planned kitchen/dining room. The country-style kitchen with wooden units and the usual appliances provides all the facilities you would expect from a holiday home. After enjoying a great home cooked evening meal why not retire to the large, traditionally styled living room where deep sofas surround a wood burner. Relax and unwind whilst enjoying your favourite film on the large TV with a glass of your chosen tipple. Upstairs there is a kingsize double and twin bedroom. Both bedrooms are well presented with high quality soft furnishings and top of the range mattresses. With lovely views across the open countryside and the surrounding cottage gardens, these rooms will provide a serene space to sleep. The landing plays host to a small reading area and there is a collection of books to choose from. Outside there is a private patio area with a beautiful enclosed garden and a separate garden shared with the owners.
Squirrel Lodge is perfectly placed to explore the coastal town of Withernsea, with its sand and pebble beach and a lighthouse in the middle of the town! With fish and chip shops and cafés aplenty, not to mention the traditional amusement arcades, this little town ticks all the right boxes. You cannot visit this area without visiting Spurn National Nature Reserve. You can visit on foot, bike or by boat safari and a day here will leave you with lasting memories. This rural part of the East Riding has miles of public footpaths, bridleways and cycle routes to explore. The cultural city of Hull is a short drive away should you wish to enjoy an evening of theatre with a late supper at one of many highly acclaimed restaurants.
