Guests can enjoy a wander around the local art galleries and antique and curiosity shops. The town is famous for its wide sandy beach and the causeway leading to the magical St Michaels Mount. Guests can reach the mount on foot via the causeway at low tide, or by a small ferry boat during high tide. The area attracts visitors all year round, and the sandy beach is popular with both those wishing to relax, and with water sports enthusiasts for activities such as kayaking and kite surfing. The area has great access to the coastal paths which prove popular with walkers and ramblers. The marshes and wildlife lakes on the outskirts of the town attract birdwatchers from around the world.
